April 15 Blogger Challenge--Don't Forget

Don't forget--the April 15 Blogger Challenge is coming up. If you write a blog and want to participate just publish your "Server Success Story" on 4/15.

Based on the comments from the original post this may be a non-event.

  1. Its only a non event if in your mind you say so.. just because there was no visible participation or fellow bloggers participating... that does not mean it was a non event... if one person reads and looks for something from other readers and blogs... it was an event... even if that one person is you... probably not going to be the case.. some one will come back on the day of or in the days to follow and look for ideas to give back to the wow community and ways to give to the new players pertinent, current and useful info to the new players.... most of them would be new forever (because the will never read "these" info sources) if we did not tutor and mentor and train them and give to them that which they can not get themselves for lack of knowledge on how to get it... Most of us, I choose to believe would like to give that back... or we would not be writing blogs... IMHO... keep pressing and do it again...

  2. Distilling my thoughts on your initial post and the follow up... Couple possibilities i see here...

Nailing blogger down to remember April 15th? Try a one week time frame... Life happens to me, and it may be days before I get back on and catch up on my reading... It's an important date to you... but not to me because frankly.. i dont know if it will fit in my schedule... Guest posts and fairs... long lead time, flexible publishing times... its fun and a blog... April 15 sounds like a publishing deadline and that sounds like work.. EWWWW!!!

Next... Confused on how your audience was in the original post... Us the elitist AH PVPers and associated Goblins... or the noobs? Who do you normally write to? you write informative thoughtfull posts and have developed an audience of similar people... not the noobs... they just want to entertain.. be funny and silly if you want to get that audience... Wowcrendor (youtube) somehow i think appeals to both... amazing what he says and does with great humor....

Your message was all muddled up with other stuff... and the reason for the post was lost on me...

The reason to participate was vague... what I imagin is a "WE YOUR READERS" are is a bunch of goblins and wannabe goblin or currious passerbys who are looking for info, perspective, insight to the AH raiding we entertain ourselves with... that's why "we read what you write" I think...

Now give us the reason to "write what you will read" I think if you have readers and they are bloggers... they will write for you... YES, FOR YOU!!! I would and I will... not sure I will get it done on the 15th... but, if you ask us to write and we do... and we are doing the writing for your reading, what are you going to be doing with the reading that we have written and what will you be writing about the reading you have done about the writing we have done, and how will it benefit either our selfish goblins, or the benevolant spirits that we suppress and occasionally want to let out and help the the noobs and the baddies....

No idea if that came out correctly or as I intended or that there is any hope that I could possibly convey what I am thinking as my fingers are just too slow and their proficiency in typing is more proficiency in misspellllling and repeatedly hitting the backspace key...

Hope that give you some hard and constructive feedback, and is not offensive.
